New Livescribe Desktop Version Released – v2.3.1

An update was released for Livescribe Desktop (PC users only) in the past week – version 2.3.1. The release includes some exciting new features – not the least being integration to Evernote. The list of new features includes Additional sharing capabilities: Share .pencast files using your email client Share notes and audio recordings to an Evernote® account. Share entire custom notebooks to Livescribe™ Online, or as .pencast files. Audio playback controls in the Sharing interface. Ability to select and share multiple audio sessions as a .pencast file or when uploading to Livescribe Online. Ability to get information about a page.

Changing from Pulse to Echo – New Install of Livescribe Desktop?

We’ve had a few questions from customers about whether they need to change or upgrade or reinstall Livescribe Desktop if they decide to move from a Pulse to an Echo Smartpen. The short answer is no. You keep using your current version of Livescribe Desktop as the software will recognise the new pen and creating a specific space for content from this new pen. NEW Livescribe Desktop Version Released – v2

On the weekend Livescribe released version 2.0 (2.033886) of the Livescribe Desktop application. In conjunction with this new version, they also launched the Livescribe app store (post to follow). We’ve had a few requests from the community about whether Livescribe Desktop will work with Windows 7. If you have upgraded to Windows 7 (we will be shortly) and you have a Livescribe Pulse Smartpen – then you’re in luck. Livescribe Desktop v1.7 is compatible with Windows 7. Livescribe Desktop Upgrade for PC and MAC

News through this morning that Livescribe has released upgrades to both versions of Livescribe Desktop. You can download the relevant update by docking your Pulse Smartpen – then accept the prompt to download the update. Livescribe Desktop Upgrade for MAC Snow Leopard

Great news from Livescribe over the weekend for our MAC community. The Mac Livescribe Desktop v1.2 for Snow Leopard is now live! We’ve included the release notes here. Livescribe recommends this upgrade only for customers using Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6). This update is not recommended for customers using Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5).
